Red Riding Hood

For Spring/Summer ‘25, we reimagine a classic Grimm Brothers’ tale through a contemporary lens. Directed by photographer Daniel Roché, styled by Monika Tatalovic, and starring model Leanne de Haan, our seasonal film “Red Riding Hood” unfolds through dreamlike fragments in a garden of roses—one shaped by romance and restraint.

Inspired by writer and guest editor Durga Chew-Bose’s retelling of the tale, the film reflects on transformation, intuition, and the liminality between fear and freedom. Our protagonist occupies the frame with both agency and uncertainty, embodying the ambiguity of the tale’s heroine: somewhere between prey and predator/neither prey nor predator, but somewhere in between.
